Our newest member to our team is Diane Hart our Assistant Youth Director. She just moved back to Austin after having finished a MAT at Fuller Theological Seminary in Ca. She has a heart for youth and mission as well and is enjoying getting to know WUMC.

Nick Oswald is our “Jack of all trades”. You will see him at most events and outings, as well as running the PowerPoint on Sunday mornings! Nick was a youth in this program and is a valued voice and leader. Nick is a perfect example of what a volunteer is and we are very grateful for all he does for us!
Blessings! I am JD Herrera, the Director of Youth Ministries here at Westlake UMC. It is my pleasure and honor to have served this community since 2007. I have a heart for doing “missional” work with youth, focusing on our call at WUMC to “serve all”. I am also a student at Austin Seminary, working towards my Masters in Divinity. I joke with the youth that I am the only Cuban in Texas, having moved here with my wife and two kids from Miami, FL. It is a blessing to have you visit our program.
